Hispanic Literature Classes
Study Hispanic literature in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala during the J-term, the summer or year-round. These academic courses are part of our semester abroad program in Guatemala.

These courses cover the major movements of Spanish and Latin American literature from the Medieval period to the end of the Twentieth century. Students will have the opportunity to gain a basic understanding of the literary creations and culture of the Hispanic world. Students will explore the major genres of narrative, poetry, and theater in the course of their studies.
The length of each course is five weeks and is worth five university credit hours from Brookhaven College. Introduction to Spanish Literature I, II and Latin American Literature I are all available through the Brookhaven College Study Abroad Program.
