These courses are as follows: These courses cover the major movements of Spanish and Latin American literature from the Medieval period to the end of the Twentieth century. Students will have the opportunity to gain a basic understanding of the literary creations and culture of the Hispanic world. Students will explore the major genres of narrative, poetry, and theater in the course of their studies. The length of each course is five weeks and is worth five university credit hours from Brookhaven College. Introduction to Spanish Literature I, II and Latin American Literature I are all available through the Brookhaven College Study Abroad Program. Students interested in obtaining credits directly from their own university should speak directly with the Study Abroad department or the Spanish department for information.
